I went out tonight and went to some tried and true places such as the Bowery Bar, the Press Club and Sky Bar/ Lounge (it is newish). We were REJECTED.
My friend who is more interesting, worldly, compassionate, knowledgeable, educated, gentle and nonjudgmental than any of the fuckwits who stand on the doors of Brisbane bars was with me. Sadly, for the general population of Brisbane, he was wearing the wrong shoes. He is traveling from overseas and has brought only limited shoes (who would have thought?!?!) and was wearing one of the two pairs he had.
Brisbane missed out on his conversation.
I did not.
